Beyond the financial support, it’s been incredibly encouraging to feel seen and supported as an LGBTQ+ student at UF. This scholarship has helped ease stress during a busy and demanding time, especially as I prepare for professional school, and has motivated me to keep pushing forward with confidence. “The scholarship provided to me by the LGBTQ+ Alumni Association has helped fuel my success as a graduate student in the UF College of Pharmacy. My scholarship helped cover some of my tuition, helping ease the mental load of financial stress. This scholarship is not only a point of great assistance for me, but it creates a sense of pride. With this scholarship, I proudly represent our community in all that I do. I currently serve on the UF APha-ASP Chapter’s Operation Pride committee, a patient care project that aims to advocate for and aid LGBTQ+ community. I hope to in my professional practice expand access to healthcare and give back to the community through scholarships such as this. Go Gators!” – Emma Wagner
