That's why we're proud to launch our new mentorship program, designed to bring together talented LGBTQ+ students and their allies and connect them with experienced alumni.

Who Is Eligible?
MENTEE CRITERIA: The program is open to anyone who is seeking mentorship and is committed to personal and professional growth. If you're a current student or recent graduate, this program is for you. We welcome applicants who are from the University of Florida and are affiliated with the LGBTQ+ community.
MENTOR CRITERIA: Mentors must be an active member of the UFAA and Association of LGBTQ+ Alumni.

Participating in our mentorship program offers a wealth of benefits, including:
Professional Development: Our goal is not to necessarily connect mentees with mentors who work in the same field (though we strive to do so). Instead, our focus is on guiding young LGBTQ+ professionals and their allies into the workforce by providing professional advice and tips on how to be out in the workplace.
Skill-Building: Learn new skills and techniques from your mentor and expand your knowledge in areas that interest you.
Networking: Connect with a network of like-minded individuals and mentors, and build relationships that will last a lifetime.
Personal Growth: Grow as a person and as a professional, and learn how to navigate the challenges of finding a healthy work/life balance.
How Does It Work?
The mentorship program is designed to be flexible, so you can participate no matter your schedule. Here's how it works:
Apply: Submit your application online and tell us about your goals and what you hope to gain from the program.
Matching: Our program coordinators will match you with a mentor based on your goals, interests, and background.
Onboarding: You and your mentor will have an onboarding call to discuss your goals, expectations, and how you'll work together.
Mentorship: Work with your mentor on a regular basis, whether that's weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. You'll have the freedom to set your own schedule and determine the frequency and format of your meetings.
Feedback: Give and receive feedback from your mentor and peers, and track your progress towards your goals.
Graduation: At the end of the program, you'll have the opportunity to celebrate your achievements and reflect on what you've learned.
